Chase Sapphire Preferred

Editorial Review
Attention road warriors- this one’s for you.

Zoomcake Staff, October 5, 2019

Earn 60,000 bonus points with the Chase Sapphire Preferred card after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. That’s $750 toward travel when you redeem through Chase Ultimate Rewards®.
Why do we love this card? On top of those bonus points, you earn 2 points for every dollar spent on travel and dining, and the points are transferable to over a dozen travel partners- including Hyatt hotels.
Did we mention- this card is metal- how cool is that!

Power users, here are the fine details:
As above, 60,000 bonus points, after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

The points transfer 1-for-1 to a wide variety of loyalty and points programs:
Airlines- Aer Lingus, Air France/KLM, British Airways, Emirates, Iberia, JetBlue, Singapore Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United, and Virgin Atlantic.
Hotels- Hyatt, IHG, and Marriott.
Points on the card are worth 1.25 cents when used to redeem travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards®.

For overseas travelers, there’s no foreign transaction fees.

24/7 access to a Customer Service Specialist, as well as Trip Cancellation/Interruption Insurance, Auto CDW, and Travel Emergency Assistance Services are all part of the package.

There is a $95 annual fee, which we found to be well worth the cost, given all the benefits.

Verdict? Earning and burning points is a full contact sport for us and this card gives us the flexibility we need.
